I think I am only going to work on one class to start. I am a little confused by the rules at this point, but Evolution pointed me in the right direction.

Just wanted to say hello to all. My Grandson and I will be racing with ya'll this year under the name of Texas Tornado Racing. We are trying to get a Limited entry ready as we speak and hope to advance to the Stock Division sometime later in the year. Right now we are up to our necks in derby cars with our local pack, but after Feb that will slack off and we can get serious with PWDR Racing. Hello again and we'll see you all later. Texastornado, whereabouts in Texas are you located? I'm in Houston.

Most Cub Scout cars work in the Limited Division. Awana cars are usually Limited if they are running BSA wheels.
Here is my quick intro/summary of the divisions:
SEE THE ACTUAL RULES IN EACH DIVISION FOR THE DETAILS
Pure Stock - original wheelbase, BSA full-size wheels, needs 4 wheels Limited - no wheelbase restrictions, BSA full-size wheels Stock - no wheelbase restrictions, LIGHTENED wheels Modified - no wheelbase restrictions, razor wheels, metal hubs allowed Extreme Pro-Modified - no wheelbase restrictions, any wheel, bearings, journals, etc. 454 - no wheelbase restrictions, 4 inch, 5 ounce, BSA full-size wheels, needs 4 wheels
Mills-Craft - Must use kit with wheels and minimal body changes. HotRod66 - 6 inch, 6 ounce, 1 square inch full height, razor front, wide rear.
By BSA Full-Size means that it can not be lightened(removal of material from inside) and must have tread that is at least 7.5mm wide.

Hello everyone, My name is "Kimba", I've been building cars for a long time now, and can hardly wait to see how I can stand up to some of you. I have a ton of questions, and will be asking you guys for advice. Seeing some of your cars is awesome. It's already taking me in different directions. Thank you all for having me become a member. Another new Dad here. My 8 Y.O. ran his first AWANA race last year, I took him to the State Museum here in Indy and I became interested as well. I like it that there is an adult class as well as kids classes. I have raced RC cars competitively for 20+ years and look forward to adding another challlenge for my sons and I. See everyone in Indy next weekend! dk

Dusty,
It was great hanging out with you at the race! I liked hearing about the RC cars and their speed. Graves and you will have to team up for next year. You guys will be at the top!

Same to you! It's a cool thing...probably cooler because the boy learned a lesson the hard way first. Next year he says he is ready to spend the time doing it the right way. Might be a good summer project for the two of us. As for Graves....yeah, that guy will only get better. BTW got a pic of the taped of Toyota in the parking garage.

Oh no, I'm saying I have one. Took it to the salvage yard to find one like it and paint shop to get the Evolution PWD Dyno into production!
