Rules are well written. I wish we used them in our race.
One thought about the below:
Any car losing wheels or any part that prevents it from running cannot be repaired after the inspection and weigh in.
I think if a wheel falls off a car they should be allowed to put it back on... Maybe that causes problems... I am sure you have thought it out well...
The one part that is unclear is:
BSA Nail type axles are required
I would read this to be the equivalent of:
Nail type axles are required.
Others will read it as Official BSA axles from the kit must be used.

The EXCEPTION has always been granted. :-) That rule is a historical carry over that I should update. suggestions?
The axles are phrased that way to prevent the use of "long nails" that span the entire width... basically a solid rod with a cap at the "pointed" end.

The one part that is unclear is: BSA Nail type axles are required I would read this to be the equivalent of: Nail type axles are required. Others will read it as Official BSA axles from the kit must be used. Since it does not specifically state that BSA Axles are required, we have always read it as meaning any "nail type" axle (similar to the BSA axles) with an overall diameter .084 inches or greater are allowed.
